What is a lustre photo print?

Lustre photo prints have a unique semi-gloss finish that’s very similar to a matte print. Lustre prints aren’t quite as shiny or colourful as a standard glossy photo print, but they’re also not as subtle or muted as a matte print. 

Instead, lustre prints have a very slight sheen to them, but with far less reflective glare than a glossy print. They combine the vibrant colour of glossy prints with the smoother tones of a matte print, so they deliver the best of both worlds!

Lustre vs glossy prints - which is better?

Lustre prints and glossy prints both offer their own advantages. Glossy prints have a much shinier finish that’s packed with colour, whereas lustre prints offer a more muted feel and reduce reflective glare and smudgy fingerprint marks.
